SGS member Lisa Johann was awarded with a travel grant to attend the SEG Annual Meeting in Houston and participate in the SEG/Chevron Student Leadership as one of worldwide 50 students.

SGS member Deborah Wehner was awarded with a travel grant to attend the SEG Annual Meeting in Houston and participate in the SEG/ExxonMobil Student Education Program as one of worldwide 50 students.

Four SGS members visited the former open pit mine in Lichterfeld and took part in a guided tour on top of the 500m long and 80m high overburden conveyor bridge F60.

With the closing on the summer term's lecture period, our SGS Student Chapters Berlin & Potsdam organized a BBQ to network with SGS members and new students.

SGS supported the Geophysics Department Section of Freie Universität Berlin in presenting various projects at this year's Long Night of Science in Berlin.

From June 12 to 15, 2017, SGS member Deborah attended the 79th EAGE Conference & Exhibition in Paris with an EAGE Student Travel Grant.
