88. Jahrestagung der SEG
in Anaheim, USA
As one of 50 university student leaders from around the world Deborah Wehner was awarded an SEG travel grant to attend the SEG/Chevron Student Leadership Symposium (SLS) at the SEG Annual Meeting in Anaheim, CA, USA. Competition for the travel grant is highly competitive and focused on the students’ chapter involvement, leadership skills, grades, and recommendations. The SLS is a collaboration effort between the Society of Exploration Geophysicists and Chevron focusing on building leadership, teamwork, real world problem solving, and communication skills for SEG student chapter officers.
Deborah says it has been a great opportunity to meet experienced geophysicists and Chevron professionals. The program included professional leadership coaching, presentations as well as an organized team building activity which gave the unique chance to socialize with other ambitious students from all over the world. She has already known some of them from the previous SEG Annual Meeting in Houston where she participated in the SEP (Verlinkung einfügen).
The travel grant included the registration to the SEG’s Annual Meeting where Deborah represented the SGS and volunteered as the SEG Women’s Network Committee Student Representative for Europe.
Applications for the SLS and SEP 2019 open on 1 January 2019 and we highly encourage you to apply.
